Global Trust is gearing up to make another big splash at the Boston Seafood Show in March by launching the “Making Sense of Seafood Sustainability Workshop.”
Seafood sustainability is a complex issue and one that is difficult to define. The Global Trust workshop therefore, has been designed to bring together leading experts to provide a forum for collaboration the subject. No one person has the full understanding of Sustainability and most only have partial information at any one point in time. This highlights the need for positive engagement with other stakeholders and interested parties.
The session will review the relevance and practicalities of the current Seafood Sustainability Standards from expert perspectives. The workshop will involve sustainability viewpoints from Standards owners, Fisheries, Aquaculture, NGO's, other Ocean Users (World Ocean Council) and from market representatives.
Attendees will have the opportunity to put their views to a panel of leading representatives from ASMI, IFFO, MSC and Safeway as well as Global Trust CEO, Peter Marshall.
The Boston Seafood Show runs from 11th-13th March 2012.
