Global Trust is very pleased to welcome Gertrud Gastel as Auditor/Seafood Project Manager. Gertrud (or “GG”, as she is well known by) is based in our Seattle office, and she brings a wealth of experience that will translate into premium services and attention for our growing client list in that region. Drawing on years of diverse quality control, sales, and seafood program auditing since leaving her native Germany, we are excited that GG is ‘on the ground’ running to meet our ever-changing client supply chain needs. In addition to hands-on services, as our eyes and ears on the west coast, one of GG’s responsibilities is to identify and understand client and industry needs. This enables us to continue our tradition of providing innovative industry solutions, but also ensures that the most appropriate and cost-effective resources are called upon to meet the everyday needs of our valued clients.
Going into 2012, GG has been very focused on the roll-out and delivery of Chain of Custody solutions for the Alaskan FAO program. At the same time she has assisted the Global Trust team – and our clients – in meeting Chain of Custody program needs for MSC clients. The good news is that GG is open for business in Seattle.
GG can help regarding a wide range of specific programs such as MSC, FAO, IFFO Responsible Sourcing, BRC Global Standards, GAA Best Aquaculture Practice Standards, GlobalGAP, and Certified Quality Salmon/Trout/Mussels, etc. Any and all North American companies are encouraged to contact GG if they have any audit, training or service requirements related to sustainability, traceability, quality control, food safety or HACCP programming.
