GT conduct MSC Surveillance audits for Albacore Tuna (Date:24 January 2012)
Canadian and US Fisheries have embarked upon their second year surveillance audits for North Pacific Albacore Tuna. This week meetings between Global Trust and Federal Management agencies for the respective Canadian and US fisheries, IATTC and WPFMC take place as part of the surveillance audit for the CHMSF and WFOA client fisheries.
This is an important part of MSC Certification and allows MSC Fisheries to reconfirm their compliance to the MSC Sustainable Fishing Standard to markets and stakeholders.
