About IFFO

The International Fishmeal and Fish Oil Organisation (IFFO) is the international non-profit organisation which represents fishmeal and fish oil producers and related trades throughout the world.  IFFO’s vision is to enhance human and livestock health and welfare via superior nutrition to the benefit of consumers worldwide.

A globally respected Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), IFFO has specialised consultative status with the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO).

IFFO members represent nearly two-thirds of world production plus around 80% of fishmeal and fish oil exports worldwide. 

IFFO's goal is to act on behalf of the fishmeal and fish oil producers and their trade associates throughout the value chain in order to strengthen the global standing of the fishmeal and fish oil industry.  In so doing IFFO aims to be a respected service partner, adding value to the global industry and ensuring it is better informed, more profitable and more sustainable.
